Samson is one of my favourite Regina Spektor songs.

My favourite sexy Spring Awakening song is ‘My Junk’. The funny thing is, I heard the soundtrack way before I saw the show, so I wasn’t really prepared for the masturbation scene that’s smack in the middle of it, heh.

I’ve always loved long bus/train/plane rides because of the intense LISTENING. I won’t go anywhere that takes longer than my iPod battery lasts, though. hehehe.

I just can’t HEAR lyrics. They just fade into the background; all I hear is the sounds the voice makes!

I do hear them though, if I’m focused JUST on the song — on a train is just about the only time that happens though.

Perhaps it’s because I’m normally typing/talking, and different parts of the brain manage the understanding of words/music? *shrugs*

I’m the opposite, I’m a lyrics first, music second kind of person. On a very rare occasion I can like music a song without liking the lyrics, but I can almost always redeem bad music with good lyrics.

I think it comes from my teenagehood of writing lots of emo poetry.
